Live with the nature >Autumn

Now it is a good time to strengthen yourself. The summer time is over and the daily action should getting less. But in our modern time it is not as easy to follow the daoist wisdom. We have to follow the rhythm of the modern society for everything we got a timetable. Around our business or job we got only a little influence on our daily flow. The question is what we can do and how?, to follow the nature rhythm of the seasons.

First of all we have to understand the action of each season. By daoist philosophy the human body is the microcosmos and outside is the macrocosmos. We are always in exchange and the macrocosmos is like an energy resource for us if we following its nature. If we not following it means we using our potential and our Qi (vital energy) and get soon exhausted. The meaning of exhausted here is our immune system getting weak, we catch easily colds or other illnesses, we are not on our peak  performance what ever we do. Fighting the flow of the nature is one of the Qi stealer beside wrong diet. To follow the nature you must understand the nature first.

Now is autumn time and what is the action of it. If understand it its is easy to follow. First a list what you can see by yourself without any education.

Obvious:

  1. crop

  2. sap is retire (falling leaves)

  3. getting colder and rainy

  4. windy

  5. shorter brightness

The action for you:

  1. wearing correct clothes

  2. earlier to bed (around 1h)

  3. still standing up early

  4. drinking from now on more warm drinks

  5. go for a autumn walk

What you can´t see but what the sensitive ancient daoist master figure out by their meditation and energy work (Qi Gong).

Not obvious:

  1. time of metal phase, structure/ hardness (Five phases cycle)

  2. main time  of lung / large intestine (most energy)

  3. Emotion> sorrow (autumn blues)

The action for you:

  1. peaceful thoughts (against the hardness)

  2. keep soul and mind together (breath/ lung stays calm)

  3. don´t follow your desires to keep the lung pure

  4. Qi Gong for Lung and Large Intestine

The one who do not follow the autumn laws will harm the lung system. He will get problems in digestion and will get diarrhea. He will not have enough power to keep the vital energy together in winter time.
